We started shooting the first videos in three.
We launched Uhumdrum and started taking it more seriously.
We are scaling like crazy and pushing the boundaries of creative marketing.
It all started when we noticed how many companies do marketing in a terribly boring way – dull ads that no one wants to see. We wanted to do something that would be fun for people. We started experimenting with content, humor, interactivity, and boom – it started working. Gradually, it became a brand that helps companies communicate differently. So it’s actually a combination of coincidence, audacity, and the fact that we just didn’t enjoy looking at boring campaigns.
Once we took on a huge project for a friend, where the conditions were not well established - nothing. Everything was extremely uncertain, which led to us ultimately doing 10 times as much work for the same money and as a bonus - losing a friend. Total fail. Since then we have clear rules, deadlines, and no more "it will somehow get done." Lesson learned.
Convincing the first clients that we are not just a bunch of guys playing with a camera. The beginnings were punk – we made videos almost for free, just to show that we can do it. And we also had to learn to say "no" to projects that weren't worth it. That was harder than we expected.
We don't want to be just an agency; we want to create our own projects that redefine how marketing is done. We experiment with AI, test new formats, and aim to expand internationally. The main goal? To show companies that marketing can be fun and that authenticity sells.
The moment you realize that your work really makes a difference is the best.
