Hydra Racing Pilsen team completed another race
The team placed 5th despite complications at the start of the race
Despite the unfavourable start and limited energy capacity, the team did not slack off and managed to tackle the challenge in the best possible way. The result? A great 5th place!
How did one of the team members rate the performance?
“We started the race with a 15-minute penalty. In the beginning of the race we were making up the loss, moreover we had a disadvantage of about 70% of the energy capacity compared to the maximum allowed. We were not able to put together a battery combination that had more capacity.
Despite starting in a disadvantageous position, we held on to fourth place. However, we were short of power and as predicted, our battery power was just about right. We were in danger of having to use experimental super capacitors towards the end of the race to finish the race.
Despite our penalty problems and a third of the battery capacity, we finished a pretty good 5th place. The last half hour was mostly hampered by lack of power, which we compensated for by using super capacitors several times. We took this race as a challenge, which we managed decently. If we had started in normal conditions, we could have been on the podium.”
This result shows us that despite the adverse conditions and technical complications, Hydra Racing Pilsen is capable of achieving great results.
Thank you to everyone who supported the team and we look forward to the next racing challenges!
