Guava: From ideas to plugins that make developers’ jobs easier

There are many inspiring stories in the SIT Port community and one of them is written by the guys from Guava. From the first ideas to successful plugins that today make the work of thousands of developers around the world easier. And where does it all originate? Right here at SIT Port Cowork in TechTower!

How did it all start?

Guava is a small but talented team of developers creating web applications and information systems. From the beginning, they knew they wanted to create tools that would have a real impact. During their first projects, they realized that the market was missing some key features in the popular PHP framework Laravel and the administration tool Filament. So they decided to create their own solutions – plugins that extend the capabilities of these platforms.

Plugins that have changed the game

Thanks to their creativity and programming skills, several groundbreaking plugins were created:

• Calendar – clear display of events in the calendar
• Icon Picker – easy and quick work with icons
• Knowledge Base – access to current documentation directly in the administration interface
• And more, which you can find on their GitHub.

The first plugin took the guys about a month to develop, but once they gained experience, the others went much faster. And the result? They crossed a major milestone in downloads and their work is helping developers around the world.

Guava and SIT Port

Since their first day at TechTower, they’ve found not only a great facility at SIT Port Cowork, but also a community that supports and inspires them. SIT Port is a place where startups and young tech enthusiasts have the space to grow, create and take their projects to the next level – just like Guava.

What’s next?

Guava is definitely not going away. On the contrary, they have a lot of new challenges and ideas ahead of them. We’re proud to have them as part of our tech community, and we’re excited to see where their journey takes them next.
