Mobility Hackathon: 75 students, 50,000 CZK and innovations in transportation
content
The very first Mobility Hackathon at TechTower took place on February 14–15, 2025, and brought a number of innovative solutions for the future of mobility.
The competition involved students from Pilsen and Prague, along with the University of West Bohemia (UWB) and the Czech Technical University (CTU).
The main partner of the event was Škoda Auto a.s., which brought two cars to the hackathon and made them available to the participants for testing and developing their projects.
The event was co-organized by OICT (Operátor ICT), which focuses on digital innovation in transport and smart cities.
Great interest and a wonderful competitive atmosphere
Interest in the hackathon was enormous, so we increased the capacity several times until we reached the final 75 participants. Over two intensive days, they worked on their ideas, which have the potential to improve mobility within and outside cities.
They competed for prize money totaling 50,000 CZK, with the professional jury awarding the four best teams:
🏆 1st place – Plajta 🩸
Blood transport using a drone
🥈 2nd place – Rychlí kluci 🚦
A system for automatic evaluation of traffic situations
🥉 3rd place – Císařův dronař 🚁
Another innovative solution for blood transport using a drone
🏅 Special Prize – AdHoCBaVič 🗺️
An isochrone map for more efficient transport planning
We would like to thank all participants for the great atmosphere and commitment! We are already looking forward to the next year.
